Podcasting 101

Podcasting 101 introduces students to the fundamentals of creating and producing their own podcasts in an engaging, hands-on format. Participants learn how podcasts are planned, recorded, and edited, while exploring how digital tools help shape clear and compelling audio stories from start to finish.

During the session, students explore essential concepts such as microphone use, recording techniques, interview and storytelling basics, and audio editing essentials. The workshop is designed to make professional tools approachable and accessible for learners at any level.

Students then apply what they’ve learned by completing a guided project where they plan, record, and produce their own short podcast episode. By the end of the workshop, participants gain a foundational understanding of podcast production along with access to user-friendly tools they can continue exploring beyond the classroom. The goal is to spark curiosity, build creative confidence, and provide a clear entry point into the world of podcasting and digital media production.
