State of Matter: What A Gas!

$0.00

States of Matter: What a Gas!  Residency engages participant learning through movement investigations and interpretations of scientific principles. Working in the arts helps learners to develop creative problem-solving skills. Art instruction helps children with the development of motor skills, language skills, social skills, decision-making, risk-taking, and inventiveness.

In this residency, participants will learn a routine of movement exercises that will repeat each session to develop movement fundamentals.  They will learn the “States of Matter Dance”, as they move with the properties of solids, liquids, and gases to a rock ’n’ n’roll science song. The interactions of living and non-living things in soil is explored through dance and the role participants play in the formation of soil and organic matter. The properties of matter are taught in the context of the movement of air and water in soil and the different movements of particles in a solid, liquid, and gas.
