Artmaking with Geometry (Math Standards)
Lines, angles, shapes, and space are fundamental elements of both Geometry and Visual Art. This workshop embraces geometric principals which are introduced and defined by drawing them. This prepares us for activities that reveal the structure of our world and the math we use to measure it. As participants strengthen their aptitude for a discerning approach to the study of geometry, they also integrate this geometric work with an artistic expression and skill. They will enjoy the revelation of these kindred approaches to drawing as a form of mathematical measurement as well as artistic expression.
