Triangle Sit & Popsicle Stick!
This residency is an introduction to an expressive movement language through exploration and creation. Participants will learn a routine of movement exercises, that will be practiced in each class to develop movement fundamentals. They will explore academic content, through movement improvisation and expressing ideas through dance, the art of movement.
The residency focuses on the element of space and making applications to meaning in language and science, as we breathe in and out. Some movements will be crafted with counting and identifying shapes and others by using word opposites to describe paths in space, such as high and low/ near and far. The residency will culminated will an assembly of all activities and creations to present a showing of our work and play.
