Quinn McGuire
Quinn McGuire is a multidisciplinary artist, spoken word performer, and architectural designer who transforms storytelling into a pathway for self-discovery. His workshops blend creative play, thoughtful structure, and expressive performance, inviting participants to explore identity, resilience, and imagination. With a background rooted in both design thinking and the spoken word tradition, Quinn fosters inclusive spaces where writers can experiment boldly and build stories that resonate with authenticity and power.
During "Talk Like a Poet!", participants will analyze literary text development, particularly in poetry and spoken word. Additionally, participants will work to address the social-emotional standard of demonstrating awareness of personal emotions and the artistic standard of using voice, movement, space, and physical objects to communicate a storyline and a character’s thoughts, feelings, and ideas. This program is best suited for Grades 5-12.
