Gina Washington

Gina W., a Cleveland-born multidisciplinary artist, holds an MFA in Photography from Ohio University and a BA in Film Studies from the University of Rochester. Working across photography, ceramics, mixed media, and installation, she creates “by any means necessary,” allowing concept to dictate medium. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, with pieces in both public and private collections.

Dedicated to arts education and equity, Gina has taught for nearly two decades at organizations such as Rainey Institute, Cleveland Print Room, ArtHouse Inc., and Broadway School of Music. She also serves as Program Consultant for the Artist Archives of the Western Reserve and as a Shorts Programmer for the Cleveland International Film Festival.

She serves as a member of the College Art Association’s Services to Artists Committee and the Women’s Caucus for Art. Gina is the recipient of numerous honors, including the 2025 Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award.
