Kahzar Rublon
Kahzar Rublon is a visual artist who specializes in realistic portrait drawings of African-American subjects. Her work is heavily inspired by contemporary African-American culture as well as inner-personal growth and reflection. Kahzar graduated from Kent State University in 2017 with an Integrative Studies Degree in Psychology, Writing and Pan-African Studies.
In addition to her professional visual arts practice, Kahzar has served as a teaching artist for over 8 years, teaching and mentoring students in the area of fine arts. Kahzar has partnered with a number of organizations, including the Mural Arts Program of Philadelphia, the Cleveland Institute of Art, the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning’s longest running Artworks Program, teaching classes is drawing, painting, portraiture, and mixed-media.
Kahzar aims to empower students with life-long skills such as patience, creative expression, perserverance and self-confidence.
