Asia Armour
Asia Armour is a Cleveland-based mixed media collage artist, photographer, and storyteller whose work explores the intersections of memory, identity, and transformation through the language of flowers and the Black feminine experience. Her practice weaves together photography, hand-cut collage, and floral symbolism to create deeply personal and emotionally resonant pieces that reflect growth, healing, and sacred beauty.
Asia was one of the featured artists in The Nature of Healing exhibition, where she also had the opportunity to co-curate a special iteration of the show as it traveled into a more intimate community setting. Her work continues to evolve through public art, gallery exhibitions, and immersive installations.
A recipient of the 2025 Emerging Artist Award from Summit Artspace, her work has been exhibited in spaces such as Cleveland Hopkins Airport, Worthington Yards, Deep Roots Experience, and The Hidden Gallery. Through her creative brand, Art Amour Studio, Asia also offers storytelling-driven merchandise, community events, floral art experiences, and blog content that celebrates soft power, emotional intelligence, and creative freedom.

During Color & Emotion: A Visual Reflection, students will explore the connection between color and emotion by selecting a Behr paint swatch that resonates with their current feelings. They will then create a small mixed media collage that visually represents why they chose that color. Through journaling and artistic expression, students will develop self-awareness, creativity, and emotional articulation. This lesson aligns with Ohio Visual Arts and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) standards.
